Exam Item Analysis

The Edvance Exam Analytics System facilitates the analysis of the question by question results of any exam created for a school, board, district, province or state.

Exam structures, student registrations, student results and curriculum concepts can be easily imported and exam questions can be linked to measurable course concepts. Once all the data is available, the system will display results on-screen as interactive graphs, charts and data tables.

Edvance Analytics allows you display and filter your data in several ways. The first set of basic filters allows a user to see the data in different formats:

  • Percentage: the student's result for an exam is calculated as a percentage. Results are then averaged out over a grouping (i.e. Board, School, etc...).
  • Success Rate: the student's result for an exam is calculated as a success rate (i.e. a result greater or equal to 60% of the maximum score). Success rates are then averaged out over a grouping (Ex. Board, School, etc...).
  • Actual Mark: the student's actual mark for an exam. Actual marks are then averaged out over a grouping (Ex. Board, School, etc...).

A second set of filters allows for different organizational elements to be excluded from the calculations. As well, under special conditions, the data from two or more exams with similar structures can be merged.
